I stumbled across Dr Zhao when I was desperately looking for options and help with our unexplained fertility problems, little did I know then, that she would change our lives forever. My husband and I have had 3 rounds of IUI and our last round made it 6 rounds of IVF over a 9 year period, all ending with a negative result. Dr Zhao was so nice and helpful. She is very positive and professional and helped me not to be anxious. I’m 40 years old, my FSH is high and AMH is very low after I had 3 miscarriages. An amazing and very successful experience! I was encouraged to go for acupuncture to relieve my sinus problem by my daughter who was attending for fertility support. After 5 sessions my pain had gone, and I had learned so much along the way. Dr Zhao was so kind and understanding as well as very professional. When I first visited my FSH was 64 I was suffering with sweats, insomnia, anxiety and depression. 34 and suffering with ovarian failure.

I still don’t understand how your TCM work, however it worked for us, it must be a really good thing to have if it has been used for thousand years. Dr.Zhao gave me acupuncture just before and just after my IVF-ET. The rationale is that it relaxes the uterus and allows the embryo to implant more easily. The success rate of IVF is only 20-30 per cent and I’m 39, with elevated FSH hormone levels which are a precursor to the onset of menopause. So for me to fall pregnant at the first time was pretty good. I believe Chinese herbs prepared my body and egg quality and acupuncture had a big impact. I’ve explored the subject a lot on the internet, but a lot of people might not realise how Chinese medicine could help them overcome infertility. They probably wouldn’t even think about it - yet it can offer a lot. Thank you Dr. Zhao for your professional help and advice and gave us lovely twin girls.

It took me 18 months to become pregnant when we were trying for our first child, and I miscarried during that time. I expected second time around becoming pregnant would not come easily. After over a year of trying with no success we were referred to the hospital for tests. I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries, and prescribed a 6 months course of Clomid. I did become pregnant in the 5th cycle, but unfortunately miscarried at 6 weeks. I decided to take a break from the treatment to enable me to get myself emotionally back on track. I was diagnosed with cancer at 18, at the time there wasn't any way of freezing my eggs (technique wasn't available back then). I had surgery, chemotherapy and was put on tamoxifen for 5 years, this put me into a chemically induced early menopause. Once I came of the hormone therapy my periods started to come back but these where very irregular for years. I was told that it was very unlikely that I'd ever be able to have children without IVF. At the age of 33 I decided that I wanted to try for children as I had just been told that my cancer was genetic and could affect my ovaries. Test revealed that I had very high FSH levels, I was basically heading toward an early menopause, my hormone levels were too high to even be considered for IVF. A friend who had been to see Dr Zhao and had successful pregnancy recommended that I give acupuncture a try.
After reading many different journal's and websites I started to have faith that acupuncture could help bring my levels down in order for me to start IVF. After 6 months of acupuncture and Chinese herbal treatment from Dr. Zhao, my hormone levels had improved remarkable, and I was ready for IVF. However I continued my treatment with Dr. Zhao and a few months before I was due to start my 1st cycle of IVF, I discovered I was pregnant naturally. My specialist was astonished yet extremely delighted for us. Acupuncture and the herbs had worked, my body responded really well and I had a very healthy pregnancy with no morning sickness.
